Harold Edwin Crossland – 66, of Cambridge, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of Edwin and Edith (Bent) Crossland, Waterville. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and entertainer who valued his family. His greatest treasures in life were his children and grandchildren. He had been employed for 31 years as a Personal Care Worker at Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, from where he retired. He was a former member of Valley Search and Rescue and enjoyed training and working with his German Shepherds. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife and soul mate of 14 years, Brenda (Branston); two daughters, Tanya Crossland, Cambridge; Tammy Crossland, Berwick; a son, Jason, Vancouver Island, British Columbia; six grandchildren, Joseph Kinsman, Isaiah Crossland-Belle, Elijah Crossland, Alyssa Crossland, Bailey Crossland-Webster and Claudia Webster. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in the Coldbrook Baptist Church, Reverend Wayne Merrill officiated. A private family burial took place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. No flowers, by request. Donations in memory may be made to Evergreen Home for Special Care or the Valley Cardiac Rehab Society.
