Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on July 1, 2016, Gertrude Lawlor (nee Stamp) of Renews, formerly of St. John’s at the age 89 years and 7 months. Predeceased by her husband, Edward (Ned) January 1999. Leaving to mourn: her devoted son, Joseph, with whom she resided; her sisters: Margie Penney (Ed deceased) and Maureen Connolly (John deceased) at St. John’s, her nieces and nephews and their families in Renews, St. John’s and Scotland; her Home Support Workers: Susan Guiney, Bonnie Edney and Mary Dillon; her many health care providers, as well as her very caring and supportive neighbours and friends in Renews. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home in Fermeuse, July 2nd from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and July 3rd, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles’ Church, Renews on Monday, July 4th at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Apostles’ Cemetery Renews.
