McNutt, Gwendolyn June; It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mum, Gwendolyn June McNutt, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, her 86th birthday. Born June 29, 1930, in Brookside, NS, she was a longtime resident of Truro, NS. She was predeceased by her parents, Malcolm and Lydia Delaney; six sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Ivan H. McNutt; daughter, Jude (Cyril), Beaverbank; sons, Bruce (Irene), Edmonton, Terry (Sylvia), Truro, Douglas (Lainey), Truro; grandchildren, David Andrew Loughead, Dartmouth, Jason Bruce McNutt, BC, Caitlin Lasalle McNutt (Jordan), Ottawa, Carla Dawn McNutt (Brian), Truro; numerous much loved nieces and nephews. Mum was a sweet kind soul, who could do anything that was needed or required of her. She worked at the Colchester Hospital as a practical nurse for many years. She also loved line dancing, sewing, knitting, baking cookies for the grandkids, shopping, going to the beach to pick shells and rocks with her daughter, loved all the stray cats in the neighborhood, and loved animals. Mum spent her last years at Sagewood in Lower Sackville. Many thanks and appreciation to the staff. Funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Tuesday, July 5, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with Pastor Wayne Keddy officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home.
