It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Lillian Clare MacMaster, 70, of New Victoria, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at home.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Muriel (Baker) Kearney.
In earlier years, Lillian was employed at the GI Plant in Sydney. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to country music and was known for her love of chocolate. Her greatest passion, however, was spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Surviving are daughter, Lorraine MacMaster, New Victoria; sons, Robert (Michelle) MacMaster, New Waterford, Alexander (Darla) MacMaster, Windsor, Ont., Kevin (Lynn) MacMaster, Sydney; sisters, Judy McNeil, Ontario, Loretta McAulay, Donna (Kevin) Forward, both of New Waterford; grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, Gregory, Heather, Zachary, Jordon, Stephanie, Aiden, and Kendall; great-grandchild, Talia; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Archibald 'Red Archie' MacMaster; son, Gerald 'Hornet' MacMaster and sister, Ellen Kearney.
There will be no visitation of funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A graveside service will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Victoria, at a later date.
