Passed away after a lengthy illness at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. John Delaney, aged 78 years was predeceased by his wife Joan in 2008 and son Craig in 2010 as well as his siblings, Bernard, Marie and Loretta; and his parents John and Elizabeth. John leaves behind with fond and loving memories, his daughter Jacqueline (Rodney); son Barry (Sandra) and daughter-in-law Kelly. John also leaves 4 grandchildren, Trista (Nick), Tara (Michael), Mark (Robyn) and Jordan (Brittany); 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jake, Joseph, Jacob and Blaize; along with his brothers Derm (Jocelyn) and David (Hazel); sisters Patricia and Monica (Clarence); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Leonard Phair and his team for their care and compassion during John's time at St. Clare's and also to nurse, Kelly Ralph for her friendship and kindness through the years. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 6-9pm and Friday from 10am-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from St. Patrick's Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donation's in John's memory may be made to St. Patrick's Parish.
