Cordellia Denney passed away on July 2, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Cordellia was born July 8, 1936 to Andrew and Emma (Amy) Canning of Roddickton. She married Fred Denney of Englee and raised their only son Everett. Cordellia was a very special soul with a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have fun. She loved her family dearly; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. She leaves to mourn her son Everett (Tina); grandchildren Christa, Megan and Nathan; great-grandchildren Noah and Hunter; brother Simon Canning (Clara); sisters Dorcas Cassell (Hubert) and Dora Eddison (Fred) along with a large circle of friends and relatives. She was Predeceased by her husband Fred Denney, parents Andrew and Emma (Amy) Canning, brothers Donald, Arthur and Walter Canning and sister Ruby Canning Pollard. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 5 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Roddickton with Pastor Ben Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Roddickton Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
