Jean Mariah Roberts passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn her daughters Frances (Israel), and Grace; sons Hubert (Doris), Edward (Lavenia), Eli (Marlene), Albert (Triffena), Boyce (Michele), Alec (Lorri), and Loren (Pansy); sisters Hazel, Violet, Shirley, and Sandra; daughter-in-law Ena and 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew, parents Herbert and Charlotte Rowbottom, brothers James, Alec, Albert, and sons Calvin and Pierce. Visitation was held at the Central United Church, Quirpon branch from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15 with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
