McGILL, JAMES GEORGE

Sackville, N.B.- It is with great sadness that the family of Jim McGill announces his passing on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Jim was 72 years of age.

Born on April 20, 1944 in Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Isobel Helen (Amos) and James Duncan McGill.

Jim began working for the Town of Sackville in 1984, retiring at the age of 59. He was a former member of the Sackville Lion’s Club, loved old classic cars and especially enjoyed camping at Murray Corner Park.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Gail (Estabrooks) McGill and their son, Eddie; his sister-in-law, Sandra Estabrooks and by several cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). The family wishes to invite everyone to a time of remembrance at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm. The burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jim may be made to CARMA Sackville, Extramural Services or to the charity of one’s choice.
