The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on July 7, 2016, of William Allison Rogers of Summerside, aged 78 years. Allison was born in Indian River to his late parents William and Lillian (nee Simmons) Rogers. Beloved husband of Lillian (nee Praught) Rogers and loving father of Catherine Roger (Brian Prendergast), Carol (Danny) Martins, Shelley (Elston) Farmer and Kenneth (Laura MacDonald). Also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Alfred (Harriett), Ralph (Alma), Jim (Marion), Wayne (Caroline) and sisters Vera (John) Dekker, Eileen (Brian) Hubley and Rita (Alley) DesRoche as well as many extended family members. Besides his parents, Allison was predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy (Fritz) Dyke and Marion (Elwood) Crozier and Brian Hubley. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Monday, July 11, then to St. Patrick’s Church, Grand River, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.
