BOYCE, PEARL VINNETTA
The death of Pearl Boyce, wife of the late J. Kenneth Boyce occurred at Oromocto General Hospital on July 9th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Williamsburg, NB February 27th, 1919, she was the youngest daughter of the late James and Caroline (Clarkson) Hossack.

Pearl was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Cross Creek, NB and was also an active member of the Anglican Church Women of Cross Creek and Stanley.

She loved music and was a very talented musician who was able to plan any instrument to which she put her mind. Pearl was the organist at St. Andrew’s, St. Paul’s and St. Thomas Anglican churches throughout the years up until 2001. She loved to perform with friends and family and to write music and poems. Pearl was a life member of the Williamsburg Women’s Institute; a member of the Stanley Golden Age Club and assisted many organizations with fund raising. She also loved sewing, knitting and quilting.

Pearl and her husband owned and operated Boyce’s Store in Williamsburg for over 46 years and their store is still fondly remembered by all.

Pearl is survived by her loving children, John W. Boyce of Bathurst, NB; Margaret (Ronald) Fullarton of Williamsburg, NB; James (Sheila) Boyce of Milton, Ontario; Harold (Lorraine) Boyce of Moncton, NB; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pearl was predeceased by her seven siblings; sisters: Estella Bennett, Sadie Fullarton, Hilda Dorcas, Jennie Logan, and brothers: Raymond Hossack, James (Jimmy) Hossack and Bertie Hossack; her grandson, Shane Boyce and daughters-in-law: Mimi Boyce and Yvette Boyce; grand sons-in-law: Timothy Sparkes and Edward Brewer.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley, NB with the funeral service at 2 PM. Burial will be at the Williamsburg Community Cemetery. The family have requested a scent free service and reception. Pallbearers for the service willbe David Boyce, Steven Boyce, Josh Calhoun, Mark Foreman, Devin Prosser and Nicholas Publicover.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Williamsburg Cemetery Fund, St. Thomas Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
