Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at the Health Sciences Complex on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Predeceased by parents Cecilia and Edward Taylor; grandson Michael McDonald; sisters: Bernice Power (Cyril (Doc), Ruth Rogers and Shirley Churchill; brothers: Max, Roy, Edward and Gordon; sister-in-law Dianne Power. Leaving to mourn his wife Bernadette Mercer; step-son Raymond Mercer (Denise); step-daughter Julia Mercer; step-grandchildren: Ben, Aleasha, Zachary, Alexis, Christen and Coady; Carol Ann Densmore (mother of their children), Todd Taylor (Liz Clift), Tina Taylor (Greg Carter), Jackie Taylor (Greg Hobbs); grandchildren: Will, Caroline, Lauren, Jack; in-laws: Tom Hollett (Carol), Derrick Hollett (Linda), Bobby Hollett ( Shirley), Daphanie (Bill Kenny); special-friends: KellyJean Simms, Anna May Druken, Albert Newell (Darlene), all Newfound Cab drivers, including Ken, the dispatcher. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday July 12, 2016 from 11 am - 9 pm. Funeral service will take place in Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 2 pm. Interment to be held at a later date.
