Peacefully at the Riverview Manor with family by his side the passing of Preston David Higginbotham age 86, occurred on Friday, July 8, 2016. Born in Montague on February 18, 1930, he was the son of the late Gladstone and Elva (Leeco). Preston is survived by son David (Iva), grandson Steven (Ashley), great grandchildren Sarah, Jenna, Anna, brothers John (Rita), Basil (Jeanette), Sterling (Wanda), Gladstone (Lynn) and sister Phyllis (Roy) Penny, sister in law Florence Higginbotham, Theresa Jackson and Marjorie Eastridge along with a large circle of extended family and friends. Beside his parents he was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Jackson), brother George, brother in law Kenny Jackson and sister in law Harriet MacKeeman. Arrangements entrusted into the care of Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home. No visitation by personal request. A funeral service honoring Prestons life will be take place on Monday, July 11, at 1 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in Peters Road Cemetery.
