The death occurred peacefully at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Wednesday July 13, 2016 of Kathryn (Ky) Compton RN (Nee MacKenzie), beloved wife of Russell Compton, formerly of Belle River in her 91st year. Ky was the daughter of the late Ken and Dolly (Toombs) MacKenzie. Ky was the beloved mother of Karen Miller (Scott), Ken (Diane), Barb, and Russ (Darlene). Grandmother of Megan Miller (Scott Wotherspoon), Katie and Glen Compton, Leanne Randall (Craig), Jackie Onions (Greg), Christopher Compton (Lynette) and Karen Compton (Peter). Special "Nana Ky" to great-grandchildren Kohan and Shea Randall, Georgia, Reid, and Finn Wotherspoon and Ava and Bennett Onions. Ky is also survived by her brother Ed (Dot deceased) and sister June Costello (William deceased) and sister in law Sybil Compton. Besides her Husband Russell, Ky was also predeceased by her son Glen, grandson Michael Miller, infant granddaughter Christine Compton, sister Betty Gilmore (John) and brother Don (Kathy). Resting at Ferguson Logan Funeral Home in Montague for visitation on Saturday July 16, 2016 from 5-8 PM. The funeral will be held at Wood Islands Presbyterian Church on Sunday July 17, 2016 at 2 PM.
