Sara Baillie, beloved daughter of Janet Fredette and her daughter Taliyah Marsman, passed away tragically on July 11, 2016 at the ages of 34 and 5 years.
Sara was a caring and lively woman who loved her family and friends. She was a great employee to Chili’s Airport and was able to talk to anyone. Above all else Sara was a dedicated mother with an unflinching love for Taliyah. They were inseparable and spent all their time together dancing, playing and laughing. Taliyah had just learned to ride a bike and was so proud to have completed kindergarten. A funny girl, Taliyah never left home without her sparkly purse full of lotions and lipsticks. Both Sara and Taliyah were the light and the heart of their families; we cannot imagine how to go on.
Sara and Taliyah are survived by mother and grandmother Janet (Ed) Fredette, (Alberton PEI), brother and uncle Michael Baillie (Vernon, BC), Aunt Marilynne (Scott) Hamilton (Calgary AB), Alex Hamilton, Justin Hamilton (Calgary AB); Grandparents, Seifert & Deedee Rayner (Alberton, PEI);Taliyah's father Colin Marsman; Taliyah's brother Jaylin Marsman; Taliyah's grandparents The Marsmans; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, as well as dear and close friends, the Joffres, whom Sara and Taliyah loved dearly.
Sara and Taliyah were predeceased by Sara’s Father, James Baillie; and their Grandparents, Dave & Eileen Baillie of Calgary AB.
We would like to thank; The Calgary Police Service for going above and beyond in this difficult time, the Brinker Family Fund which supports employees of Chili’s for their generosity and thoughtfulness, and the Gerry Forbes Show of CJAY 92 for their open hearts and aid in this terrible time.
Funeral Services will be held at Centre Street Church (3900 2nd Street NE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the “City of Calgary Amber Alert.” Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
