She was very involved with her church, teaching Sunday school, Auxiliary of the Trainman of the Lady Smith Lodge, and the Camera Club. She loved to sew and made beautiful clothes for her daughters, and many a dance costume. She enjoyed planting and tending her garden that fed her family well. She joined Hank at many of his musical engagements and loved to dance. Later in life, she took up two new challenges, learning to drive and playing golf. Madeline will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her dedication and support to family, friends and church. Madeline had a great ability of showing unconditional love, kindness and was always ready to help others. She lived by the golden rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". After Hank‘s passing, Madeline continued to live in the family home until she was 86. She then moved to Chez Nous, and after a brief hospital visit in December 2014, she moved to Extendicare. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and doctors at the Union Hospital and the Dr. F.H.
