Peacefully at her daughters home in St. John’s NFLD, with her daughter by her side, on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 of Kathleen "Kay" MacDonald (nee Egan) of Mt. Stewart and formerly of Cherry Hill age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Cyrene MacDonald and dear mother of Mary (Slavko) Manojlovich, and Shannon MacDonald (Clarke MacIntosh). Loving Nanny of Luke (Saira) Manojlovich, Katie Manojlovich (Travis Butt), and to great granddaughter Nora Butt. She is also lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Doris MacDonald, Mary Lou MacDonald, many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Kay was also predeceased by her sisters, Aletha Harper, Winnie Harper, Evelyn McAskill and Marion Baldwin. Kay was a long standing and active member of her community and church, often consulted as the family historian and had a deep and abiding love for her family. She will be sorely missed. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday, then transferred to St. Andrew’s Church, Mt. Stewart for funeral mass at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired contributions in memory of Kay may be made to St. Andrew’s Church, St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery or a charity of choice.
