Now Bowling in Heaven – Till we meet again Fred
We celebrate the life of Frederick (“Fred”) Hugh Chapman, who passed away peacefully in his sleep - July 21st, 2016. Fred just enjoyed his 87th birthday, surrounded by his family whom he treasured dearly. Fred will be missed by his loving wife and companion Pat who shared with him a wonderful life of over 61 years. Also lovingly remembered by his children (Vicki), Rod, Charlie, Janice (Ron), Colleen (Mike), and Jeff (Linnea); his grandchildren Justine, Jenna, Laura, Nathan, Regan, Celina, Nikolas, Jaxon, Kody and Krista; his great grandchild Mirah-Lee; his sister Audrey’s family, sister Alwyne, brother-in-law Bill’s family, sister-in-law Roberta’s family, brother-in-law Albert (Darlene), sister-in-law Debbie (Floyd) and all their families. Fred was predeceased by his parents Isabelle and Charles; his sister Audrey, and brothers-in-law Bert Vyvyan, Bill Reeve and Bill Klein; sister-in-law Roberta Klein; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Gloria and his grandson Christopher. Fred was a man of the land – farming near Dafoe Saskatchewan until 2001. Anyone who came to the Abbey Farm enjoyed the hospitality of home cooking, bird hunting, story-telling and homemade wine in the rustic farmhouse that Fred built. Following his life on the farm, Fred began his City-Life in Prince Albert Saskatchewan, where he enjoyed a life of bowling, gardening, card-playing, and grand-parenting. Fred loved life – and always had a sparkle in his eye and a grin on his face. He will be dearly missed. Private Graveside Service will be held. Memorial Reception will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK.
