Passed peacefully away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, Walter J. Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 79 years. Predeceased by son Avalon; brothers Lawrence, Eldon (Pauline) and sister Melvie (Roy) Drodge. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Annie of 57 years; children Janet (Conrad), Sterling (Mary), Randall (Jackie) and Lisa (Trevor); daughter-in-law Sharon; grandchildren Carl, Kara, Kayla, Medina, Mitchel, Ethan, Alex, Braeden and Cole; great grandchildren Kaylee, Jamie-Lynn, Beau and Lexi; sisters Minnie (Late Allen), Eva (Late Gerald), Ivy (Ronald) and Evelyn (Aiden); brothers Rex (Brenda) and Simeon (Marilyn); sister-in-law Bernice; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the United Church, Caplin Cove with interment at United Cemetery, Caplin Cove.
