Cameron Halverson passed away July 23, 2016 in his residence at the Bentley by Rivera at the age 101. Cameron was born to Orin and Clara Halverson on their farm in Leinan, Sk. on March 27, 1915. He married Alma Carlson on October 16, 1940. They had two daughters, Andrea in 1941 and Judith in 1944. He farmed for many years in the Leinan area. He also ran the Royalite Gas Station in Leinan for many years as well. When he retired from farming, his hobby became carpentry projects. He enjoyed making many items for his daughters, grandchildren and friends. Cameron and Alma enjoyed travelling to their daughters' home as well as friends and relatives in other areas. Cameron was predeceased by his wife, Alma and daughter Andrea Albert, three sisters, and two brothers. Dad is survived by his daughter Judy (Gary) of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Douglas (Ann) Albert of Jasper, Ab., Loralee (Rod) Orthner of Swift Current, Sk., Scott (Chantelle) Albert of Regina, Sk., Kara Foulk of Jupiter, FL. and Tonilynn Weitz of Mesa, AZ.; great grandchildren Brendan, Mackenzie and Jack Albert; Karlson Orthner; Kayla and Emilee Foulk and Cameron and Blake Hernandez, also his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lillian and Bill Beck of Kamloops, B.C. Special thanks to Frank and Colleen MacBean for their friendship. Also a special thanks to Shirley Ann Friesen and her team for looking after dad so well. They truly cared for Dad and he truly cared for them. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his family and friends. At Dad's request there was no church service held. The Graveside service was held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, Sk. with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. In Cameron's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
