It is with great sadness that the families of the late Jack Alexander Baker announce his passing on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 72nd year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife: Edith (nee Sheppard) of 43 years; His daughters: Dolores Curlew (Cyril) and Diana Baker (Graham); His grandsons: Jordan Curlew, Austin Curlew & Cobain Oake; His brothers: Clifford Baker (Shirley), Roy Baker, David Baker (Rose) & Donald Baker (Patricia); his sisters: Mildred Oake, Alma Brett, Alice Lovisa (Claudio), Annie Gerogiannis (John) & Viola Baker. His sisters-in-law: Mary Hiscock (Phil), Kay Balsom (Sterling), Lillian Oliver (Gordon), Vera Payne (Ronald), Rose Oliver (Gary) & Betty Oliver (Cliff); and his brothers-in-law: Hubert Sheppard, Arthur Sheppard (Shirley), Basil Sheppard and Fred Sheppard (Michaela). He also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jack was predeceased by his parents: George & Pearl Baker; Brothers: Maxwell Baker & Ronald Baker; Father & Mother-in-laws: Arthur & Vera Sheppard; Brothers-in-law: Sidney Oake, Alexander Brett, William Hiscock, George Sheppard, Richard Sheppard, Frank Balsam, & Cyril Sheppard; and nephews: Michael Sheppard & Matthew Sheppard. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake on Monday, August 1st, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Salvation Church in Deer Lake with Majors Wayne and Betty Ann Pike officiating.
