It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the tragic death of Steven Joseph Samson, 36, on July 22, 2016 in Vancouver, B.C. Son of Juanita MacNeil and George Samson, Steven is also survived by his sisters, Stephanie Samson, Teresa Samson, Michelle Buyck, Leah McAllister, Lindsay McAllister; grandparents Etienne and Delima Sampson of Louisdale , grandmother Theresa MacPherson of Sydney, 7 nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Steven was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Joseph MacNeil.
Steven loved fast cars, fast bikes and ski-doos, music, camping, fishing, and hunting. Steven especially loved to be around children who seemed to flock to him wherever he was. A campfire, good friends and family, a cold beer and some old country music put a smile on his face every time.
At his best, Steven was a charming, loving and kind soul who loved to laugh. Though he struggled with his demons, Steven was always faithful to his nanny and papa who were forever his safe harbour in every storm. His family will always hear his infectious laugh and remember the ‘I love you’ at the end of every conversation.
We love you too, Steven. Rest easy now.
Resting in the Glenn Sampson Room, Louisdale with visitation on Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 7-9 pm. Funeral services to be held at 1 pm Thursday August 4th, St Louis Parish in Louisdale. Burial to be held in Louisdale at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made in Steven’s memory to Leeside Transition House, Port Hawkesbury.
