Bernadette C. Gratto, age 68, of Little Harbour, Pictou Co., passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James and Theresa (Ryan) Vacheresse.
Prior to retirement in December 2014, she worked for Sobeys for several years and Griffin’s Tobacco Shop.
She is survived by three sons, Kevin (Hallee); Edwin (Tiffany), Little Harbour; Dale, Red Deer, Alta.; four grandchildren, Jamie, Ryan, Justin and Makayla; two brothers, James (Edith), Edmonton and Garfield, Bear River; two sisters, Valerie, New Glasgow, and Clarita Marshall (James “Tuggie”), Westville.
She was predeceased by step-mother Eileen Vacheresse.
A special “Thanks” to the doctors and nurses of the Aberdeen Palliative Care unit for the comforting care shown to Bernadette.
There will be no visitation or service at the request of the deceased. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
