Muriel Marguerite Lynds

Lynds, Muriel Marguerite, 100, St. Peters/Truro, passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2016 in Richmond Villa, St. Peters. Born in Dublin, Lunenburg County, she was the daughter of the late James and Carrie (Shrader) Bell. She was predeceased by her only brother, C. Walter Bell of Truro. Surviving are her sons, C. Walter (Marion) Lynds, Cape Breton, and Dexter (Marion) Lynds, Truro; grandchildren, Wally, Gary, Dale and Wendie; seven great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. Muriel taught in the Public School system for thirty years; eight years in Pubnico and twenty-two in North River, N.S. Muriel was also involved in teaching Sunday school in her church and many women in the Truro area took ceramic classes in her home. Recently Muriel resided at the Richmond Villa, St. Peters, Cape Breton and celebrated her 100th birthday, June 2, 2016. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4th beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Rev. Jonathon London will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home.
