Olive “Doreen” Chase – 80, Beaver Brook, Colchester Co., passed away July 31, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born on March 31, 1936 in Westchester, Cumberland Co., she was the daughter of the late Lyle and Florence (Langille) Henderson.
Doreen worked at the Colchester Regional Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was a kind and gentle person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her daughters, Wendy M. Aho (Terry), Medicine Hat, Alberta, Nancy D. Chase, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Patricia L. Yuill (James), Beaver Brook, N.S.; sons, Robert “Larry” Chase (Winnie), Hilden, N.S., David M. Chase (Julie), North River, N.S.
Nanny will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren, Morgan, Darcy, Michael, Stephen, Christopher, Michelle, David, Darryl, Sandra as well as seven great grandchildren.
Doreen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Sidney Chase in 1972 as well as grandson, Danny.

In Keeping with Doreen’s wishes, Cremation has taken place and a family interment will take place in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro, with the Rev. Lori Ramsey, officiating. If so desired, donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
