Passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, in Corner Brook, NL, on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Cyril Simms, in his 78th, year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; of 57 years, Edith nee Coles, his children; Jean (Keith Rowsell), Donna (David Norris), Clyde (Angela), Raymond, Jacqueline (Kirk Ball), and Cathy (Leyon Williams), his 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his brothers; Roy, Alexander (Nellie), Wilbert (Glenda), Woodrow (Joy), and Lloyd, Cyril was predeceased by his parents; Bessie & Cecil Simms, his brother; Glenn, his sister-in-law; Vera Simms, also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family & friends. The family will be receiving family & friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, on Thursday, August 4th, 2016, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9pm. The Funeral service will take place on Friday August 5th, 2016, at 3 pm, at The Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennett's Ave, Deer Lake, with Pastor Hillier, Pastor Rowsell, & Pastor Grimes officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
