Patricia "Trixie" Louise Talbot - 64, Hilden, passed away peacefully at home on August 1st, 2016. Born in Moncton, N.B., Trixie was the daughter of the late Don and Peg Mitton.
Trixie worked as a Registered Nurse, graduating from the VG School of nursing in 1973. She worked at various hospitals including the Halifax Infirmary, Bridgewater Hospital and Shelburne Hospital. Trixie also worked at Hillcrest Manor and most recently with the VON. She cherished her reunions held with her life-long nursing friends.
Trixie, along with her beloved husband, Jim enjoyed travelling together as well as spending time with family and grandchildren. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening.
Trixie leaves behind her husband, James "Jim", Hilden; children, Carrie (David) Miller, Truro, Brad (Theresa) Talbot, Hilden, Lori (John) Scott, Valley. She will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren, Ethan, Baillie and Jillian. Trixie is also survived by her sister, Margo Carruthers (Jay Perry), Halifax.
Although there will be no formal funeral service, all are welcome to join in celebrating Trixie's life at a Memorial Visitation being held on Sunday, August 7th, from 2-4pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Family flowers only. Honouring Trixie's love and care for animals, donations in her memory may be made to the Colchester Branch SPCA or to the Colchester Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
