On Saturday August 6th our mother finished dying after over 8 years with Alzheimer’s at the age of 93. It was a long road and our father Eddy Ryan who passed away in 2008 has waited 8 years for her. Now they are together again. Mom was the daughter of the late Blanche and Carlyle Bates from Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. She is survived by daughters, Carol MacKinnon(Malcolm), Sarnia, ON, Donna MacDonald (Victor Campbell), Marion Bridge; granddaughters, Michelle, London, ON, Carole Anne, Toronto and Deanna, Edmonton; great grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew and Marissa; sister, Ina Gibbs (Bert), Truro. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Eddy; son-in-law, Cyril MacDonald; siblings, Jim, Carl, Floyd and Hazel. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rev. Duaine Devereaux will officiate. A special thanks to all of the angels that work in MacDougall Court at Harbourstone, very special people.
