The passing of Helen Denholm Compton, of Bangor, age 92 years occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Friday, August 5, 2016. Born in Glasgow, Scotland she was the daughter of the late Mathew and Janet (Nee: McMeekin) McPhee, Beloved wife of the late Robert Vernon Compton. Loving mother of Janet (Carl) MacMaster, Heather MacEwen, Donna (Robert) MacLean, Carol Compton, Paul (Debbie), Gary (Shannon), Virginia (Bobby) Runighan, and Sandra (Colin) MacLean. Cherished grandmother of 44 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Debbie Laybolt, son Dean; sons-in-law Roger MacEwen and Blaine Fraser. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Bangor Cemetery.
