It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Betty Pope, aged 74. She passed away peacefully at the Health Science Centre on Monday, August 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Left to celebrate her life is her loving husband Mike; daughters Marie May (Jamie), Cass Evans (Paddy), Anita Pope (Derrick), Brenda Strickland (Billy-deceased); sons John (Bev), Mike (Tracy) and Ronnie (Dana). Grandchildren Jackie (Austin), Brad, Glen, Jonathan, Melissa (Mike), Stephanie (Chris), David (Mallory), Derek, Stephen, Samantha, Rachael, Abbie, Lauren and Emma. Great-grandchildren Joshua, Callie, Layne & Lennon. Brothers Ferg (Ruby) and Tom (Glendine). Sisters in law Irene (Maurice), Bride, Joan & Sheila as well as a number of other relatives and friends. Betty joins her beloved siblings Marg, Loretta, Jack, Gerald, Frank, Harold and Paddy in eternal rest. Visitation will take place at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday, August 9th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, August 10th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Teresa's Church on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 9:30am. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
