Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, Winston N.C. Parsons of Ochre Pit Cove, age 93 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Victoria; brother: Jacob and sister-in-law: Lorraine. Leaving to mourn, wife: Edith; daughter: Rosetta (Harold) Bishop, Carbonear; son: Robert, Ochre Pit Cove (Carol), Mount Pearl; five grandchildren: Christopher (Cynthia), Tracy, Nicholas (Chloë), Victoria (Slawomir), and Erin; seven great-grandchildren: Torsten, Isabella, Myah, Arthur, Edith, Adrianna, and Edwin; two brothers: Russell, Manuels and Ernest (Doris), St. John's; sister-in-law: Effie Mae Parsons, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay.
