ROGERS, Joshua Wayne – age 1, of Chebogue, Yarmouth Co., passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on April 15, 2015 he was the loving son to Corey Rogers and Sarah Doucette. Joshua was an extremely happy child and was always smiling, with the exception of when he was tired which made him a bit cranky. He loved to steal his brother’s trains and was especially fond of his babysitter Mackenzie. Joshua’s favorite food was peanut butter and jam sandwiches. He enjoyed the water and spent lots of time swimming in his pool. Besides his parents he is survived by brother, Greyson Rogers; his paternal grandparents, Sheryl and Wayne Rogers; paternal aunt, Amanda Rogers; maternal grandparents, Mary and Paul Doucette; maternal aunts, Rosanne Roberts, Judy Keizer, Irene (Andre) Lemaire, Claudine and Rachelle Doucette; and maternal uncle, Billy Doucette (Alissa); maternal great grandparents, Rena and Heiner Mangels; paternal great grandmothers, Joyce Rogers and Gladys Goodwin. Joshua was predeceased by maternal great grandparents Mary and James Keizer; maternal great uncle Craig Sisco; maternal great grandfather, Billy Doucette; paternal great grandfathers, Jack Rogers and Ron Goodwin. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass was held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Ambrose Cathedral, Father Glen Pothier officiated. Interment took place in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery.
