It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Marguerite K. Menne announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Her beautiful life will be cherished and celebrated by her children: Stephen (Martina Marche), Sharon (Keith Bonnell), Jeffrey (Betty), Heidi (Bill Hynes); precious grandchildren and step-grandchildren and their families, as well as close relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents: Arthur & Lucy Stratton; husband Frank Menne; brothers: Belah (Joyce) Stratton, William (Ina) Stratton and brother-in-law Hans (Elisabeth) Menne. Our mom was a long time resident of Stephenville and a passionate Newfoundlander. She appreciated the simplicity and glory of nature, dearly loved her verdant garden and was thankful for "this beautiful world, beautiful people and beautiful family." Visitation will take place on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the First United Church, St. Clare Ave., Stephenville from 7 - 9 p.m. and continue on with the funeral service on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathryn Vance officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation or the First United Church Memorial Fund.
