We, the family of Jeanette Margaret Lundrigan, regret to announce her passing on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born January 7, 1934, in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Boudreau) Chaisson.
Jeanette was a member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Whitney Pier and the Sydney Women’s Support Club. She is survived by her son, Mark, Sydney; son-in-law, Ray Gabriel (Charmaine Saccary), River Ryan; granddaughter, Melissa Gabriel (Nick Collins), Sydney; great-grandson, Charlie; sister, Yvette Boudreau, Halifax; brothers, Johnny, Florida and Thomas, Toronto, Ont.; many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, William; daughter, Paula Gabriel; sister, Sr. Pauline Chaisson; brothers, Wilfred and James. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Whitney Pier on Saturday, August 13 at 11 a.m. with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
