Kathleen (Kay) Laura Munroe age 81 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2016 at her beloved Gables Lodge in Amherst.
Kay was born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Alec and Marjorie (Fulton) Munroe.
Kay had a passion for people and enjoyed her time at Gables Lodge, developing many friendships throughout the years.
In her younger years, Kay enjoyed cooking.
She will be lovingly remembered by her only brother, Eldon Munroe, Elliott Lake ON; as well as four nephews, Bernard Eldon (Jane), David Alexander (Michelle), Philip Edward (Jane), Kevin Blair (Kimberly) and their families; special foster sister, Sigrid Wood, Oxford and her children, Ned, Velma (Marcus) and Kevin; as well as her special family at Prince Arthur Boarding House and Gables.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Byron Corkum presiding followed by a reception all at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906.
Interment will take place at a later date.
