Philip Fahey

Philip Leo Fahey’s beautiful and innocent heart is now resting after a lifetime of sharing his laughter and smile with a legion of family and friends fortunate enough to have known him. Philip was a lifelong inquisitor and loved solving puzzles of any kind and discovering how things worked. His eyes would light up when telling stories, looking at photos and reminiscing of days gone by. His hard work was done in silence for those in the community that needed a helping hand but the noise of his success is heard in the admiration whispered by those that loved him.
Philip was the seventh child born into the Fahey family of the late Winifred (nee Brazil) and Edward Fahey, Glenwood. He is predeceased by his sisters Irene (Tom), Genevieve (Jim), Phyllis (George) and three brothers Alphonsus (Mary Olive), Edward Jr. and Don (Susie), three brothers-in-law John Carrol, Owen Collier and Andrew Higgins. He is mourned by sisters Marina, Floss (Guy), Pat and Monica. Philip is also mourned by a large circle of extended family and friends, especially his nieces whom he cared for since they were babies Kimberly, Beverly, and Jolene. He also leaves behind five small children that he considered his grandchildren Declan, Aislin, Caitlin, Sarah, and Emily. Rested at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood from where Mass of Christian Burial has taken place on Monday August 8, 2016 at 11 am officiated by Father William Hearn. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Glenwood. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Philip's memory may be made to St. Anne's Cemetery Fund.
