Anne Duff
October 29, 1921 – August 17, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Anne Duff on August 17, 2016 at the age of 94. Born and raised in Winschoten, Holland. Anne grew up with an appreciation of hard work and “making do”. She met Arthur Duff during the post-World War II Allied occupation of Holland. Anne set off on a new adventure, coming to Canada with lifelong friend Nellie Barnsley in 1947. Crane Valley became home to Arthur and Anne, where they farmed, raising their two sons, Al and Louis. Anne enjoyed life on the farm, working long hours beside Arthur, as well as being a homemaker and mother. Arthur and Anne retired to Moose Jaw in 1997 to spend their retirement. Friends and family were always very important to Anne, which was evidenced in her face whenever they came to visit. Anne was predeceased, in 1999, by her husband of 52 years, Arthur Duff, her parents, as well as her 9 brothers and sisters. Anne is survived by son Al (Brenda) and their children, Michelle (Jarrett) Kachur, Renee (David) Coleman, Robert (Erin) Duff; son Louis (Marlis) and their son Ken; as well as 11 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm. on Monday August 22, 2016 at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca St E, Moose Jaw, SK. Pastor John McCubbing will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21 at Jones Funeral Home from 7 - 9 pm. Donations may be made to the charity of your choosing. In living memory of Anne, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
