Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late George Watters (Beatrice) and Jean Brooks. A mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and strength to all who held her heart.
Barb's greatest passion was her music. Her eyes sparkled and her smile shone brightest while song and dance swept through her soul, carrying her gracefully on earth and guiding her gently home to Heaven. God has gained a beautiful dancing angel.

She was predeceased by brothers: Harry (Linda) Watters, John (Margie) Watters, Bob MacDonald and sister, Marie Marshall. Barb will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and very special friend, Joyce MacDonald.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave, New Glasgow, from where the funeral will be held Wednesday, August 24 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod officiating. Burial to follow at MacPherson's Mills with family only.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to all those who contributed to the comfort and care to Barb and her family during this difficult time, specifically, the staff and volunteers in the Palliative Care Society and the many friends and family who stood by our side.
