Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Western Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 22nd, 2016, Paul Brake at the age of 56. Leaving with fond and loving memories are his wife Patti; children Sam and Alexandria; sister Christine Brake; nieces Sarah, Alanna, Cassandra, Sarah and Kirsty and nephew Zachary; brother-in-law Peter Hiscock (Robin); sister-in-law Elizabeth Henderson (Paul); special cousins Lynn Brake and Lori Veitch; as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mel and Jean Brake. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Bob O'Driscoll, the entire staff of 4AB for their consistent care and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25th at 2 P.M. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with The Very Reverend Baxter Park and Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Western Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the ALS Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
