DORCHESTER, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Charles Kenneth Green on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Kenny passed away at the age of 65 with his family at his side.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on September 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Betty Christina (Wood) and Charles Louis Green.
Kenny was employed with CN for 20 years and also worked in construction in Kitimat, BC. He loved nature, fishing with his brother, Lorne, making creations out of soapstone, doing wood carving and writing poetry. Kenny would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, had a contagious laugh and he will be sadly missed by all his family who loved him dearly.
Kenny will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Christina Green (Jeff) of Victoria, BC, Leah Green (James) of Kitimat, BC and Heather Green (Lance) of Armstrong, BC; his grandchildren, James, Jillian, Emily, Jeremiah, Melody and Crystal; his two brothers, Lorne Green of Dorchester, N.B. and Harry Green of Sackville, N.B.; his four sisters, Sandra (Duane) Ayer of Sackville, N.B., Karen Dube of Dorchester, N.B., Lucy (Wendell) Anderson and their son Jesse of Dorchester, N.B. and Tammy (Eldon) Crosthwaite of Dorchester, N.B.; his special friend, Ester Bradley and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Kenny was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Jane Green; his nephew, Leo Dube and by his niece, Betty Ward.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Kenny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kenny may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or to the charity of one’s choice.
