LANGILLE-TURPLE, Winifred Catherine Margaret - 94.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winnie Turple Langille on August 26, 2016.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Winnie was devoted to her church, St. James Anglican Church, Pictou and many volunteer organizations. There was nothing that she liked better than a good game of auction 45’s.
Winnie was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Hemmings, Pictou.
In 1940, she married Vincent MacNeil Turple and together they raised their family of four children: Rita (Scott Falconer), Rosemary (Jim Dewolfe), Vincent (Judy Henderson), Jim (JoAnn). She also has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Winnie is also survived by sisters, Betty Cox, Ontario and Edith Hartley, Newport Station, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by first husband Vincent Turple Senior and second husband Murray Langille. Also, daughter-in-law Myrna Turple.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Pictou with Rev Bill White and Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery following a reception in the church hall. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, St. James Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.
