LANGILLE, Elizabeth Merle “Betty” – 76, Masstown, Colchester County, passed away peacefully Friday, August 26, 2016, at home with her family by her side. Born January 11, 1940, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Mildred (Cox) MacKinnon. Betty worked with the Registry of Deeds at the Truro Courthouse for 17 years. She attended First United Church, Truro.
Betty is survived by her loving companion of 24 years, Owen Coffell; daughter, Heather McNutt (Jeff), Bible Hill; daughter-in-law, Eva Langille, Truro; grandchildren, Amber and Tara McNutt; Kristan, Dylan and Kyle Langille; great grandson, Noah Moxsom; great-granddaughter Addison Moxsom; great-grandson Kash McNutt
She was predeceased by her husband, Karl “Sonny” Langille; son, Roderick (2008); sister, Bonita “Bonnie” MacKinnon.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29th at 2:00 pm. Reverend Valerie Kingsbury will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only.
