The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Monday, August 29, 2016 of Fenton Boylan, Veteran of World War II, of Summerside, formerly Poplar Grove, aged 90 years, beloved husband of Jean (Milligan) Boylan. Born on March 4, 1926 in West Devon, son of the late John P. and Alfreda (Chappell) Boylan. Dear father to Brian (Nancy), Northam, Cathy, Summerside and daughter in law Bernadine, East Bideford. Loving grampy to 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Fenton is also survived by sisters in law Blanche Boylan, Lakeside, N.S., Rena Hawkins (Ed Mugridge), Freeland, Carl (Pearle) Milligan, Porters Lake, N.S., Elva Geldard, Debert, N.S, Jennie (Elmer) Simmons, Summerside, Goldie (Harold) Coughlin, Poplar Grove and Glenda (Vaughn) Webb, Debert, N.S, Howard Cooling, Summerside and Heather Milligan, East Bideford. Fenton was predeceased by his Sons Carl (1983), Terry (1984), Ronnie (2010), grandson Rodney (2008), brothers and sisters Mae Gray, Russell, John and Agnes. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in Freeland United Church Cemetery. Comrades of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ellerslie branch # 22 will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Brothern of Alexander Lodge # 5 Port Hill will hold a Masonic service for their late brother Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. In memory of Fenton, memorials to Freeland United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
