At the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit, N.S., on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, of Jarvis Patrick Powers, formerly of Alberton, age 72 years. Born on January 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Everett and Irene (nee Haywood) Powers. Dear father to Jason (Connie), Everett (Amelia), Alex (Mindy), and Marion (Brady). Loving grandfather to Kaila (Bruce), Kordell, Debbie, Dwight, Daisy, Axie and Damion. Great grandfather to Breanna and Leah. Dear brother to James, Noreen (late Lester) Gavin, Theresa (Merrill) Arsenault, and Mary (late Vance) McNeill. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by brothers, David and Carroll, his sister, Faye (late Stephen) McNeill, his nieces, Marla Jean McNeill and Barbara Anne Deziel. He was also predeceased by the mother of his children, Deborah (Ramsay) Powers, in 2011. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visiting hours or funeral service by personal request.
