The death occurred, on August 30, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his loving family, of Aldon Baker of Morell, and formerly of Thorburn, NS, aged 82 years. Survived by his children: Bob Baker (Suzanne) of Bedford, NS; Debbie Martin (Allen) of Riverton, NS; Doug Baker (Arlene) of Broadway, NS; Gwen MacDonald (Rod) of Morell, PE; and Lorna Baker (Brian) of Charlottetown, PE. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, by his brother and sisters: Wayne Baker (Carm) of Ottawa, ON; Lola Robbins (James) of Morell, PE; Jean Emery (Harvey) of Kingston, ON; and Vera Baker of Morell, PE; and by his extended family, Mark and Barry Squires. Also remembered by sisters and brothers-in-law: Ethel Nicholson (Donald), Gwen Thompson, Marjorie Baker, and Derell and Betty Thompson. Predeceased by his wife, Vivian (nee Thompson); his parents, Wentzell and Helen Baker; his brother, Leland Baker; and by brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Thompson, David Thompson, and Betty and Eustachius McCarron. Resting at Peter Gordon Memorial United Church, Morell, for visitation on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral to be held at the church on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Family flowers only, please.
