The death occurred suddenly at his residence in Souris on Thursday, September 1, 2016, of Mike Cheverie age 64 years. Beloved husband of Martina; stepfather of Maaike (Norman) Brown; stepgrandfather of Leni Mae and Lucy Brown. Survived by brothers Patrick (Carmella), Darky (Sheila) and sister Mollie McCormack. Remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents William and Grace Cheverie; brother-in-law Joseph McCormack; niece Cherie MacCormack and her husband Brendon; and stepson Padric Jason (P.J.). Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Monday afternoon September 5, 2016 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Souris, for funeral mass to be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Donations in Mike's memory made to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund or the Souris Hospital would be appreciated.
