It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful soul. Anna Mae Myers passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, September 4th, 2016. A woman of extreme strength, courage and love, she lived her life giving to others. Predeceased by her mother Irene Cantwell (neeQuinlan), father Patrick Cantwell, brother Kevin Cantwell, father-in-law Martin Myers, sisters-in-law Doreen Cantwell and Rosaline Walsh, brothers-in-law Fredrick and Martin Myers, special extended family members: Anne Nolan, Tom Nolan and Catherine Kelly as well as her dearest friend Betti Woodford. Left with cherished moments, her devoted husband Patrick (Paddy) of 40 years, loving son (and her pride and joy) Kevin, new daughter-in-law Candace, brother Gerald Cantwell, niece Deanne Cantwell, mother-in-law Mary Myers, sisters-in-law: Lena (Ben) Fewer, Kay Walsh, Martina (Leo) Power, Loretta (Wilmore) Gillingham, Maude (Dick) Gushue, Maureen (Val) Hickey and Jean Hannon, brother-in-law Jerry Walsh, sister-in-law Patricia Myers, as well as many special nieces, nephews and extended family. Anna Mae leaves behind a large circle of special friends and colleagues, too numerous to mention. She touched their hearts with her gentle and kind spirit. Anna Mae was a loving wife, proud mom, nurturing teacher, unconditional friend and confidant. She showed great pride and passion in all life's endeavours. She will be forever remembered for her thoughtful and continuous prayers for those who she held dear to her heart. She will be truly missed and honoured for her compassion and kindness. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from Assumption Church, Avondale. Cremation to follow with Inurnment in Assumption Cemetery, Avondale. Flowers greatly accepted or donations in her memory may be made to The Assumption Memorial Fund.
