David Bruce Duggan, age 79, of Windsor, Hants County passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 2, 2016 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 4, 1936 in Tufts Cove, Halifax County, Nova Scotia, David was the son of the late Edward and Edna (Robinson) Duggan. David served in the Royal Canadian Regiment in the military until his retirement. After retiring from the military he served with the Corps of Commissionaires and fully retired in 1991. David is survived by his wife the former, Margaret Isabelle MacDonald; daughters, Margaret “Peggy” MacKay, Cold Lake , Alberta; Karen Rector, Davenport, Iowa; son, David Duggan, Halifax; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Niles (Beverly), St. Albert, Alberta; sisters, Carmel Bell, Whitby, Ontario; Faith Steadman, Bowmanville, Ontario; step-sister, Sheila Shellnut, Halifax; step-brother, Kenneth ( Rowena) Sibley, Meaghers Grant. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Edna Duggan; brother, George Duggan; step-brother, Rodney Sibley. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0. Funeral service was held, 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, followed by a reception and then interment in the Ste.
