It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Johnson nee Norman (Aunt Vi) announces her passing at the Western Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the age of 90 years. Violet leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her step-children Millicent (Bill) Gild, Marvin (Joy), Clayton (Irene), Clara (Nick) Dawe and Maxine (Frank) Turner. She also leaves to mourn her special niece Wanda (Tony) with whom she resided, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Violet has been predeceased by her husband Captain Clayton Johnson, of Catalina, step-sons Morrisey Johnson and Graham Johnson, and her parents John and Francis Norman, sisters Lucretia Francis, Francis Lundigan, Irene Pardy, and brother Reginald Norman. The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Michael's And All Angel's Anglican Church in Pollards Pt, NL, on Thursday, September 8th, 2016, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Friday, September 9th, 2016, at 2 pm with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating with the burial to follow at the Church cemetery, in Pollard's Pt, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church in Pollard's Point, in memory of Violet would be graciously appreciated by the family.
