Passed away at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook, NL, on Thursday, September 1st, 2016, Annie Maude Hillier at the age of 82 years. Annie Maude, as she was known to many, was born on June 19th, 1934, to Elsie (nee Pollard) and Franck Ropson of Great Harbour Deep, she married Norman, her beloved husband for 37 years, at Griquet on January 3rd, 1955 and together they raised two children, she loved music and crafts, her favorite pastimes were playing her piano, knitting, crocheting and tatting for which she showed great passion. Predeceased by her husband Norman, her parents Elsie and Frank, her sisters Effie Parsons Reid and Phyllis Elgar, her brothers Alfred, Freeman, Maxwell and Claude, brothers-in-law Llewellyn Hillier, Donald Parsons, Sidney Elgar and Corbett Reid, sisters-in-law Minnie Hillier and Cecile Ropson. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving family, daughter Nancy (Roy Pittman) and son Frank (Lynn), her grandchildren Robyn Hillier, Carla (Wim) Dikoning, Cheryl Abbott and Cody Chaulk (Leanne), her great-grandchildren Jayda Abbott, Grayson Chaulk and Ella Dikoning, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016, from 7-9 pm, and Thursday, September 8th, 2016 from the hours of 10-12 noon, where also the Funeral service will take place from on Thursday, September 8th, 2016, at 2 pm, with Rev. Paulette Budgen officiating with the burial to follow at the St. Mary's Anglican Church Cemetery in St. Anthony, on Friday, September 9th, 2016, at 12 pm.
