At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday September 8, 2016 of Minnie G. Davis formerly of Summerside and Kensington aged 89 years. Born in Kensington on October 4, 1926 daughter of the late William and Mae (Howard ) Gill.Wife of the late Ernest S. Davis. Mother of Bill (Sandra), Summerside; Kenneth (Paulette), Summerside; Kevin (Jane), Summerside; Greg (Tina), Kensington and step-daughter Rose Lewis, Five Islands, NS. Also survived by her grandchildren, Angela, Crystal (Cory) MacLeod, Jolene (Bobby) Day, Tanya, Kelly (Mark) Cameron, Cathy (Shane) Campbell, Patty (Jim), David (Pam), Travis, Kayla (Roger) Paynter, Mark, Ryan and Breann, 20 great grandchildren, plus 1 soon to arrive. She is also survived by her sisters, Thelma (William) Nicholson, Erma (Garnet) Turner, brothers, Allison (Mary) Gill, Ivan (Arlene) Gill, sister in-laws, Juanita Gill and son-in-law, Charles Barlow. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by daughter Elizabeth Barlow, daughter-in-law Judy (MacKenzie) Davis, brother Linwood Gill and sister Dorothy Leard. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Monday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Kensington. If so desired contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or Alzheimer Society. Members of Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch # 9 Royal Canadian Legion, Kensington Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 1:45 p.m. www.davisonfh.com
